*Then Jesus said to his disciples: If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For he that will save his life, shall lose it: and he that shall lose his life for my sake, shall find it. For what doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what exchange shall a man give for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels: and then will he render to every man according to his works. Amen I say to you, there are some of them that stand here, that shall not taste death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Glory be to God forever.

حِينَئِذٍ قَالَ يَسُوعُ لِتَلامِيذِهِ: "مَنْ أَرَادَ أنْ يَتْبَعْنِي فَلْيُنْكِرْ نَفْسَهُ وَيَحْمِلْ صَلِيبَهُ وَيَتْبَعْنِي، لأنَّ مَنْ أَرَادَ أنْ يُخَلِّصَ نَفْسَهُ يُهْلِكُهَا، وَمَنْ يُهْلِكُ نَفْسَهُ مِنْ أَجْلِي يَجِدُهَا. لأنهُ مَاذا يَنْتَفِعُ الإنْسَانُ لَوْ رَبِحَ الْعَالَمَ كُلَّهُ وَخَسِرَ نَفْسَهُ؟ أوْ مَاذا يُعْطِي الإنْسَانُ فِدَاءً عَنْ نَفْسِهِ؟ لأنَّ ابْنَ الإنْسَانِ سَوْفَ يَأْتِي في مَجْدِ أَبِيهِ مَعَ مَلائِكَتِهِ، وَحِينَئِذٍ يُجَازِي كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ حَسَبَ أَعْمَالِهِ. الْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: إنَّ مِنَ الْقِيَامِ هَهُنَا قَوْماً لا يَذُوقُونَ الْمَوْتَ حَتَّى يَرَوْا ابْنَ الإنْسَانِ آتِياً في مَجْدِ أَبِيهِ". وَالْمَجْدُ لِلَّهِ دَائِماً.

*See that you despise not one of these little ones: for I say to you, that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. What think you? If a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them should go astray: doth he not leave the ninety-nine in the mountains, and go to seek that which is gone astray? And if it so be that he find it: Amen I say to you, he rejoiceth more for that, than for the ninety-nine that went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father, who is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. But if thy brother shall offend against thee, go, and rebuke him between thee and him alone. If he shall hear thee, thou shalt gain thy brother. And if he will not hear thee, take with thee one or two more: that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may stand. And if he will not hear them: tell the church. And if he will not hear the church, let him be to thee as the heathen and publican. Amen I say to you, whatsoever you shall bind upon earth, shall be bound also in heaven; and whatsoever you shall loose upon earth, shall be loosed also in heaven. Again I say to you, that if two of you shall consent upon earth, concerning any thing whatsoever they shall ask, it shall be done to them by my Father who is in heaven. اُنْظُرُوا إذاً، لا تَحْتَقِرُوا أَحَدَ هَؤُلاءِ الصِّغَارِ، لأني أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: إنَّ مَلاَئِكَتَهُمْ في السَّمَوَاتِ كُلَّ حِينٍ يَنْظُرُونَ وَجْهَ أبِي الَّذِي في السَّمَوَاتِ. لأنَّ ابْنَ الإنْسَانِ قَدْ جَاءَ لِيَطْلُبَ وَيُخَلِّصَ مَا قَدْ ضَلَّ. مَاذَا تَظُنَّونَ؟ إنْ كَانَ لأَحَدٍ مِئَةُ خَرُوفٍ، وَضَلَّ وَاحِدٌ مِنْهَا، أَفَلاَ يَتْرُكُ التِّسْعَةَ وَالتِّسْعِينَ عَلَى الْجَبَلِ وَيَذْهَبُ يَطْلُبُ الضَّالَّ؟ وَإذَا حَصَلَ وَوَجَدَهُ، فَالْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: إنَّهُ يَفْرَحُ بِهِ أَكْثَرَ مِنَ التِّسْعَةِ وَالتِّسْعِينَ التي لَمْ تَضِلَّ. هكَذَا لَيْسَتْ مَشِيئَةُ أبِي الَّذِي في السَّمَوَاتِ أنْ يَهْلِكَ أَحَدُ هؤُلاءِ الصِّغَارِ. وَإذَا أَخْطَأَ إلَيْكَ أَخُوكَ فَاذْهَبْ وَعَاتِبْهُ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ وَحْدَكُمَا. إنْ سَمِعَ مِنْكَ فَقَدْ رَبِحْتَ أَخَاكَ. وَإنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْكَ، فَخُذْ مَعَكَ أيْضاً وَاحِداً أَوِ اثْنَيْنِ، لِكَيْ تَقُومَ كُلُّ كَلِمَةٍ عَلَى فَمِ شَاهِدَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثَةٍ. وَإنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْهُمْ فَقُلْ لِلْكَنِيسَةِ. وَإنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنَ الْكَنِيسَةِ فَلْيَكُنْ عِنْدَكَ كَوَثَنِيٍّ وَعَشَّارٍ. الْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: كُلُّ مَا تَرْبِطُونَهُ عَلَى الأرْضِ يَكُونُ مَرْبُوطاً في السَّمَوَاتِ، وَكُلُّ مَا تَحُلُّونَهُ عَلَى الأرْضِ يَكُونُ مَحْلُولاً في السَّمَوَاتِ. وَأَقُولُ لَكُمْ أيْضاً: إنِ اتَّفَقَ اثْنَانِ مِنْكُمْ عَلَى الأَرْضِ لأيِّ شَيْءٍ يَطْلُبَانِهِ فَإنَّهُ يَكُونُ لَهُمَا مِنْ عِنْدِ أَبِي الَّذِي في السَّمَوَاتِ. لأنهُ حَيْثُمَا اجْتَمَعَ اثْنَانِ أَوْ ثَلاَثَةٌ بِاسْمِي فَهُنَاكَ أَكُونُ في وَسَطِهِمْ. وَالْمَجْدُ لِلَّهِ دَائِماً.

*For God hath not subjected unto angels the world to come, whereof we speak. But one in a certain place hath testified, saying: What is man, that thou art mindful of him: or the son of man, that thou visitest him? Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels: thou hast crowned him with glory and honour, and hast set him over the works of thy hands: Thou hast subjected all things under his feet. For in that he hath subjected all things to him, he left nothing not subject to him. But now we see not as yet all things subject to him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour: that, through the grace of God, he might taste death for all. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, who had brought many children into glory, to perfect the author of their salvation, by his passion. For both he that sanctifieth, and they who are sanctified, are all of one. For which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying: I will declare thy name to my brethren; in the midst of the church will I praise thee. And again: I will put my trust in him. And again: Behold I and my children, whom God hath given me. Therefore because the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner hath been partaker of the same: that, through death, he might destroy him who had the empire of death, that is to say, the devil: And might deliver them, who through the fear of death were all their lifetime subject to servitude. For no where doth he take hold of the angels: but of the seed of Abraham he taketh hold. Wherefore it behoved him in all things to be made like unto his brethren, that he might become a merciful and faithful priest before God, that he might be a propitiation for the sins of the people. For in that, wherein he himself hath suffered and been tempted, he is able to succour them also that are tempted. The grace of God the Father be with you all. Amen.

فَإنَّهُ لِمَلائِكَةٍ لَمْ يُخْضِعِ الْعَالَمَ الْعَتِيدَ الَّذِي نَتَكَلَّمُ عَنْهُ. لكِنْ شَهِدَ لَنَا وَاحِدٌ في مَوْضِعٍ قَائِلاً: "مَنْ هُوَ الإنْسَانُ حَتَّى تَذْكُرَهُ؟ أَوِ ابْنُ الإنْسَانِ حَتَّى تَفْتَقِدَهُ؟ أَنْقَصْتَهُ قَلِيلاً عَنِ الْمَلائِكَةِ. بِالْمَجْدِ وَالْكَرَامَةِ كَلَّلْتَهُ، وَأَقَمْتَهُ عَلَى أَعْمَالِ يَدَيْكَ. أَخْضَعْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ تَحْتَ قَدَمَيْهِ". لأنهُ إذْ أَخْضَعَ الْكُلَّ لَهُ لَمْ يَتْرُكْ شَيْئاً غَيْرَ خَاضِعٍ لَهُ. عَلَى أننَا الآنَ لَسْنَا نَرَى الْكُلَّ بَعْدُ مُخْضَعاً لَهُ. وَلكِنَّ الَّذِي أَنْقَصَهُ قَلِيلاً عَنِ الْمَلائِكَةِ، يَسُوعَ، نَرَاهُ مُكَلَّلاً بِالْمَجْدِ وَالْكَرَامَةِ، مِنْ أجْلِ ألَمِ الْمَوْتِ، لِكَيْ يَذُوقَ بِنِعْمَةِ اللَّهِ الْمَوْتَ لأجْلِ كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ. لأنهُ لاَقَ بِذَاكَ الَّذِي مِنْ أجْلِهِ الْكُلُّ وَبِهِ كَانَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ، وَهُوَ آتٍ بِأبْنَاءٍ كَثِيرِينَ إلى الْمَجْدِ، أنْ يُكَمِّلَ رَئِيسَ خَلاَصِهِمْ بِالآلامِ؛ لأنَّ الْمُقَدِّسَ وَالْمُقَدَّسِينَ جَمِيعَهُمْ مِنْ وَاحِدٍ، فَلِهذَا السَّبَبِ لا يَسْتَحِي أنْ يَدْعُوَهُمْ إخْوَتِي، قَائِلاً: "أُخَبِّرُ بِاسْمِكَ إخْوَتِي، وفي وَسَطِ الْجَمَاعَةِ أُسَبِّحُكَ". وَيَقُول أيْضاً: "أَنا سَأَكُونُ مُتَوَكِّلاً عَلَيْهِ". وَأيْضاً يَقُول: "هَا أَنا وَالأَوْلاَدُ الَّذِينَ أَعْطَانِيهِمِ اللَّهُ". فَإذْ قَدْ تَشَارَكَ الأَوْلاَدُ في الدَّمِ وَاللَّحْمِ اشْتَرَكَ هُوَ أيْضاً كَذلِكَ فِيهِمَا، لِكَيْ يُبْطِلَ بِمَوْتِهِ ذَاكَ الَّذِي لَهُ سُلْطَانُ الْمَوْتِ، أيْ إبْلِيسَ، وَيُعْتِقَ أُولئِكَ الَّذِينَ خَوْفَاً مِنَ الْمَوْتِ كَانُوا مَذْلُولِينَ كُلَّ حَيَاتِهِمْ تَحْتَ الْعُبُودِيَّةِ. لأنهُ حَقّاً لَيْسَ يُمْسِكُ الْمَلائِكَةَ، بَلْ يُمْسِكُ نَسْلَ إبْرَاهِيمَ. مِنْ أجْلِ ذلِكَ كَانَ يَجِبُ أنْ يُشْبِهَ إخْوَتَهُ في كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، لِكَيْ يَكُونَ رَحِيماً، وَرَئِيسَ كَهَنَةٍ أَمِيناً في مَا لِلَّهِ لِكَيْ يَغْفِرَ خَطَايَا الشَّعْبِ. لأنهُ في مَا هُوَ قَدْ تَأَلَّمَ مُجَرَّباً يَقْدِرُ أنْ يُعِينَ الْمُجَرَّبِينَ. نعمةُ اللَّهِ الآبِ فَلْتَحِلَّ عَلَى أرواحِنا يا آبائي وإخْوَتي. آمين.

*Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy hath regenerated us unto a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, Unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that can not fade, reserved in heaven for you, Who, by the power of God, are kept by faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein you shall greatly rejoice, if now you must be for a little time made sorrowful in divers temptations: That the trial of your faith (much more precious than gold which is tried by the fire) may be found unto praise and glory and honour at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, you love: in whom also now, though you see him not, you believe: and believing shall rejoice with joy unspeakable and glorified; Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and diligently searched, who prophesied of the grace to come in you. Searching what or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ in them did signify: when it foretold those sufferings that are in Christ, and the glories that should follow: To whom it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to you they ministered those things which are now declared to you by them that have preached the gospel to you, the Holy Ghost being sent down from heaven, on whom the angels desire to look. Do not love the world or the things in the world. The world passes away, and its desires; but he who does the will of God abides forever. Amen.

مُبَارَكٌ اللَّهُ أَبو رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ، الَّذِي بِكَثْرَةِ رَحْمَتِهِ وَلَدَنَا ثَانِيَةً لِرَجَاءٍ حَيٍّ، بِقِيَامَةِ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ مِنْ بَيْنِ الأمْوَاتِ، لِلمِيرَاثِ الَّذِي لا يَبْلَى وَلاَ يَتَدَنَّسُ وَلاَ يَضْمَحِلُّ، مَحْفُوظٌ لَكُمْ في السَّمَوَاتِ، أيهَا الْمَحْرُوسُونَ بِقُوَّةِ اللَّهِ، بِالإيمَانِ، لِلخَلاَصِ الْمُسْتَعَدِّ أنْ يُعْلَنَ في الزَّمَنِ الأخِيرِ. الَّذِي بِهِ تَبْتَهِجُونَ الآنَ يَسِيراً، وَإنْ كَانَ يَجِبُ أنْ تَتَألَّمُوا بِتَجَارِبَ مُتَنَوِّعَةٍ، لِكَيْ تَكُونَ صَفْوَةُ إيمَانِكُمْ كَرِيمَةً، أفْضَلَ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ الفَانِي، الْمُجَرَّبِ بِالنَّارِ، لِتُوجَدُوا بِفَخْرٍ وَمَجْدٍ وَكَرَامَةٍ عِنْدَ اسْتِعْلاَنِ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ، ذَاكَ الَّذِي وَإنْ لَمْ تَعْرِفُوهُ تُحِبُّونَهُ. هذَا الَّذِي الآنَ لَمْ تَرَوْهُ وَآمَنْتُمْ بِهِ، فَتَهَلَّلُوا بِفَرَحٍ لا يُنْطَقُ بِهِ وَمُمَجَّدٍ، نَائِلِينَ غَايَةَ إيمَانِكُمْ خَلاَصَ أنْفُسِكُمْ. لأنهُ مِنْ أجْلِ هذَا الْخَلاَصِ قَدْ طَلَبَ الأنبِيَاءُ وَفَتَّشُوا، الَّذِينَ تَنبَّأُوا عَنِ النِّعْمَةِ التي صَارَتْ فِيكُمْ، وَبَحَثُوا عَنِ الزَّمَنِ الَّذي تَكَلَّمَ فيهِ رُوحُ الْمَسِيحِ فيهِمْ. إذْ سَبَقَ فَشَهِدَ عَلَى آلامِ الْمَسِيحِ، وَالأمْجَادِ الآتِيَةِ بَعْدَهَا. الَّذِينَ أُعْلِنَ لَهُمْ أنَّهُمْ لَيْسَ لأنْفُسِهِمْ كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ، بَلْ جَعَلُوا نُفُوسَهُمْ لَكُمْ خُدَّامَاً بِهذِهِ الأمُورِ التِي أُخْبِرْتُمْ بِهَا أنْتُمُ الآنَ، بِوَاسِطَةِ الَّذِينَ بَشَّرُوكُمْ بِالرُّوحِ القُدُسِ الْمُرْسَلِ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ. الَّتِي تَشْتَهِي الْمَلاَئِكَةُ أنْ تَطَّلِعَ عَلَيْهَا. لا تُحِبُّوا العَالَمَ ولا الأشْيَاءَ التي في العَالَمِ، لأنَّ العَالَمَ يمْضِي وَشَهْوَتُهُ مَعَهُ، وأمَّا مَنْ يَعملُ مَشِيئَةَ اللهِ فإنه يَثْبُتُ إلى الأبدِ. آمين.

Then bringing them in, he lodged them. And the day following he arose, and went with them: and some of the brethren from Joppe accompanied him. And the morrow after, he entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, having called together his kinsmen and special friends. And it came to pass, that when Peter was come in, Cornelius came to meet him, and falling at his feet adored. But Peter lifted him up, saying: Arise, I myself also am a man. And talking with him, he went in, and found many that were come together. And he said to them: You know how abominable it is for a man that is a Jew, to keep company or to come unto one of another nation: but God hath shewed to me, to call no man common or unclean. For which cause, making no doubt, I came when I was sent for. I ask, therefore, for what cause you have sent for me? And Cornelius said: Four days ago, unto this hour, I was praying in my house, at the ninth hour, and behold a man stood before me in white apparel, and said: Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thy alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God. Send therefore to Joppe, and call hither Simon, who is surnamed Peter: he lodgeth in the house of Simon a tanner, by the sea side. Immediately therefore I sent to thee: and thou hast done well in coming. Now therefore all we are present in thy sight, to hear all things whatsoever are commanded thee by the Lord. The word of the Lord shall grow, multiply, be mighty, and be confirmed, in the holy Church of God. Amen.

فَنَزَلَ بُطْرُسُ إلى الرِّجَالِ، وَقَالَ: "هَا أَنا الَّذِي تَطْلُبُونَهُ. مَا هُوَ الأَمْرُ الَّذِي حَضَرْتُمْ لأَجْلِهِ؟". فَقَالُوا: "إنَّ كُرْنِيلِيُوسَ قَائِدَ الْمئَةِ، رَجُلاً بَارّاً وَخَائِفَ اللَّهِ وَمَشْهُوداً لَهُ مِنْ جَمِيعِ أُمَّةِ الْيَهُودِ، أُوحِيَ إلَيْهِ بِمَلاَكٍ مُقَدَّسٍ أنْ يَسْتَدْعِيَكَ إلى بَيْتِهِ وَيَسْمَعَ مِنْكَ كَلاَماً". فَدَعَاهُمْ إلى دَاخِلٍ وَأضَافَهُمْ. ثُمَّ في الْغَدِ قَامَ وَخَرَجَ مَعَهُمْ، وَأَتى مَعَهُ إخْوَةٌ آخَرِينَ مِنْ يَافَا. وَفي الْغَدِ دَخَلُوا قَيْصَرِيَّةَ. وَأمَّا كُرْنِيلِيُوسُ فَكَانَ يَنْتَظِرُهُمْ، وَقَدْ دَعَا أَنْسِبَاءَهُ وَأَصْدِقَاءَهُ الأَخِصَّةَ. وَحَدَثَ لَمَّا دَخَلَ بُطْرُسُ سُرَّ بِهِ كُرْنِيلِيُوسُ وَسَجَدَ وَاقِعاً عَلَى قَدَمَيْهِ. فَأَقَامَهُ بُطْرُسُ قَائِلاً: "قُمْ، أَنا أيْضاً إنْسَانٌ مِثْلُكَ". ثُمَّ دَخَلَ وَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ مَعَهُ وَوَجَدَ كَثِيرِينَ مُجْتَمِعِينَ. فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: "أَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ كَيْفَ هُوَ مُحَرَّمٌ عَلَى رَجُلٍ يَهُودِيٍّ أنْ يَلْتَصِقَ أو أنْ يَسِيرَ مَعَ أَجْنَبِيٍّ. وَأمَّا أَنا فَقَدْ أَرَانِي اللَّهُ أنْ لا أَقُولَ عَنْ إنْسَانٍ مَا إنَّهُ دَنِسٌ أَوْ نَجِسٌ. فَلِذلِكَ جِئْتُ مِنْ دُونِ مُنَاقَضَةٍ إذِ اسْتَدْعَيْتُمُونِي. فَأَسْأَلُ: لأيِّ سَبَبٍ اسْتَدْعَيْتُمُونِي؟". فَقَالَ كُرْنِيلِيُوسُ: "إنهُ مُنْذُ أَرْبَعَةِ أيامٍ إلى هذِهِ السَّاعَةِ كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي في بَيْتِي نَحْوَ السَّاعَةِ التَّاسِعَةِ، وإذَا رَجُلٌ قَدْ وَقَفَ أمَامِي بِلِبَاسٍ أَبْيَضَ وَقَالَ: يَا كُرْنِيلِيُوسُ، سُمِعَتْ صَلَوَاتُكَ وَذُكِرتْ صَدَقَاتُكَ أمَامَ اللَّهِ. فَأَرْسِلْ إلى يَافَا وَاسْتَدْعِ سِمْعَانَ الْمُلَقَّبَ بُطْرُسَ. إنهُ نَازِلٌ في بَيْتِ سِمْعَانَ الدَّباغِ عِنْدَ الْبَحْرِ. فَأَرْسَلْتُ إلَيْكَ حَالاً. وَأَنْتَ فَعَلْتَ حَسَناً إذْ جِئْتَ. وَالآنَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعاً حَاضِرُونَ هَهُنَا أمَامَ اللَّهِ لِنَسْمَعَ كُلَّ مَا أُمِرْتَ بِهِ مِنْ قِبَلِ الرَّبِّ". لَمْ تَزَلْ كَلِمَةُ الرَّبِّ تَنْمُو وتَكْثُرُ وتَعْتَزُّ وتَثْبُتُ، في بِيعَةِ اللَّهِ الْمُقَدَّسَةِ. آمين.

أمَامَ الْمَلائِكَةِ أُرَتِّلُ لَكَ. وَأَسْجُدُ قُدَّامَ هَيكَلِكَ الْمُقَدَّسِ. وأَعْتَرِفُ لَكَ يَارَبُّ مِنْ كُلِّ قَلْبِي؛ لأنكَ اسْتَمَعْتَ كُلَّ كَلِمَاتِ فَمِي. هَلِّلُويَا.

*And when the Son of man shall come in his majesty, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit upon the seat of his majesty. And all nations shall be gathered together before him, and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left. Then shall the king say to them that shall be on his right hand: Come, ye blessed of my Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in: Naked, and you covered me: sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came to me. Then shall the just answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, and fed thee; thirsty, and gave thee drink? And when did we see thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and covered thee? Or when did we see thee sick or in prison, and came to thee? And the king answering, shall say to them: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me. Then he shall say to them also that shall be on his left hand: Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry, and you gave me not to eat: I was thirsty, and you gave me not to drink. I was a stranger, and you took me not in: naked, and you covered me not: sick and in prison, and you did not visit me. Then they also shall answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to thee? Then he shall answer them, saying: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it not to one of these least, neither did you do it to me. And these shall go into everlasting punishment: but the just, into life everlasting. Glory be to God forever.

وَمَتَى جَاءَ ابْنُ الإنْسَانِ في مَجْدِهِ وَجَمِيعُ مَلائِكَتِهِ الْقِدِّيسِينَ مَعَهُ، فَحِينَئِذٍ يَجْلِسُ عَلَى عَرْشِ مَجْدِهِ. وَتَجْتَمِعُ أَمَامَهُ جَمِيعُ الشُّعُوبِ، فَيُمَيِّزُ بَعْضَهُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ كَمَا يُمَيِّزُ الرَّاعِي الْخِرَافَ مِنَ الْجِدَاءِ، فَيُقِيمُ الْخِرَافَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَالْجِدَاءَ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ. حِينَئذٍ يَقُولُ الْمَلِكُ لِلَّذِينَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ: تَعَالَوْا إليَّ يَا مُبَارَكِي أبِي، رِثُوا المُلْكَ الْمُعَدَّ لَكُمْ مُنْذُ تَأْسِيسِ الْعَالَمِ؛ لأني جُعْتُ فَأَطْعَمْتُمُونِي. وعَطِشْتُ فَسَقَيْتُمُونِي. كُنْتُ غَرِيباً فآوَيْتُمُونِي. عُرْيَاناً فَكَسَوْتُمُونِي. كُنْتُ مَرِيضاً فَزُرْتُمُونِي. ومَحْبُوسَاً فَأَتَيْتُمْ إليَّ. حِينَئِذٍ يُجِيبُهُ الأبْرَارُ قَائِلِينَ: رَبَّنَا، مَتَى رَأيْنَاكَ جَائِعاً فَأَطْعَمْنَاكَ، أَوْ عَطْشَاناً فَسَقَيْنَاكَ؟ أَوْ مَتَى رَأيْنَاكَ غَرِيباً فآوَيناكَ، أَوْ عُرْيَاناً فَكَسَوْنَاكَ؟ أَوْ مَتَى رَأيْنَاكَ مَرِيضاً أَوْ مَحْبُوسَاً فَأَتَيْنَا إلَيْكَ؟ فَيُجِيبُ الْمَلِكُ وَيَقُولُ لَهُمْ: الْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: بِمَا أَنكُمْ فَعَلْتُمُوهُ بِأَحَدِ إخْوَتِي هَؤُلاءِ الصِّغَارِ، فَبِي فَعَلْتُمْ. حِينَئذٍ يَقُولُ للأشرار الَّذِينَ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ: اذْهَبُوا عَنِّي يَا مَلاَعِينُ إلى النَّارِ الأَبدِيَّةِ الْمُعَدَّةِ لإبْلِيسَ وَمَلاَئِكَتِهِ؛ لأني جُعْتُ فَلَمْ تُطْعِمُونِي. عَطِشْتُ فَلَمْ تَسْقُونِي. كُنْتُ غَرِيباً فَلَمْ تَأْوُونِي. عُرْيَاناً فَلَمْ تَكْسُونِي. كُنْتُ مَرِيضاً فَلَمْ تَزُورُونِي. ومَحْبُوسَاً فَلَمْ تَأْتُوا إليَّ. حِينَئِذٍ يُجِيبُونَ هُمْ أيْضاً قَائِلِينَ: رَبَّنَا، مَتَى رَأَيْنَاكَ جَائِعاً أَوْ عَطْشَاناً أَوْ غَرِيباً أَوْ عُرْيَاناً أَوْ مَرِيضاً أَوْ مَحْبُوسَاً وَلَمْ نَخْدِمْكَ؟ حِينَئِذٍ يُجِيبُهُمْ قَائِلاً: الْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: بِمَا أَنكُمْ لَمْ تَفْعَلُوهُ بِأَحَدِ هَؤُلاءِ الصِّغَارِ، فَبِي لَمْ تَفْعَلُوا. فَيْذَهَبُ هَؤُلاءِ إلى عَذَابٍ أبدِيٍّ. وَالأبْرَارُ إلى حَيَاةٍ أبَدِيَّةٍ. وَالْمَجْدُ لِلَّهِ دَائِماً.
